All government and private schools in Punjab have introduced 6 new matric subject groups for Grade 9 admissions for the 2025–26 academic year. These streams provide students with specialized, career-oriented education options.
Students and parents are being given complete details of these subject groups along with admission forms. Those promoted from Grade 8 have three days to consult their parents before finalizing their choice.
