The Punjab School Department has enforced a ban on social media use for teachers and heads of schools. A notification is issued to all education authorities to take strict notice of this.
A serious action will be taken on the violation under the Punjab Government Rules of 1966. The responsible person may get serious punishment, and the notification has also been sent to police authorities for taking strict action.
A new policy for the use of social media has been approved by the Establishment Division for police in Islamabad. The policy prohibits the officers from expressing personal opinions or entertaining in public without official approval.
Officers are restricted from posting images in uniform either inside or outside the offices and are not allowed to post the videos. Any sensitive information regarding the cases is also not allowed to show online.
