PMDC To Organize MDCAT Exam on Sep 22

The PM&DC Act 2022 schedules the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test, MDCAT exam on Sep 22, 2024.

According to PMDC, 167077 applications have finalised for the MDCAT from the receiving 174744 applications. Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj, the president of PMDC, has ensured full transparency in the test throughout Pakistan. He added that there should be a fair opportunity for the students to take part efficiently in the medical field.

The nominated institutions by the relevant provincial and regional authorities to conduct the examination process are the University of Health Sciences, Lahore (Punjab), Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi (Sindh), Khyber Medical University, Peshawar (KPK), Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences, Quetta (Balochistan), Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad (ICT, AJK), and Karakuram International University, Gilgit (GB).

The nominated council members to oversee smooth MDCAT exam conduct in their respective provinces, with Prof. Khaild Masood Gondal overseeing Punjab, Prof. Dr. Amjad Siraj for Sindh, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair Khan for KPK, Prof. Dr. Tahmina Asad for Baluchistan, and Barrister Sultan Mansoor for Islamabad.

He stressed that any misconduct or cheating during the MDCAT exam will not be endured, and strict action will be taken against the guilty, which may be the students or the faculty. Including two international centers in Dubai and Riyadh, at least 30 venues nationwide selected to conduct the exam.
