Exclamation Mark is used to show the feelings of surprise, excitement, wish, joy, sorrow, curse, pray or to stress upon.

Representation

The symbol used for exclamation is ‘!’.

Examples

  1. Hurrah! I have won the match.
  2. Alas! I have failed.
  3. May you live long!
  4. May you go to hell!
  5. What a lovely bird it is!
  6. Oh king! Pardon me.
  7. Would that I were rich!

  • Used after certain commands spoken in a nervous or sudden or in an excited way.
