Chief Minister Transport Program For Women

Punjab Chief Minister Transport Program For Women is an initiative to provide 76 buses for girls’ colleges across the Punjab.

The buses will be provided to the women’s colleges in phases. In the first phase, CM Punjab Maryam Safdar handed over 19 keys to the principles of women’s college.

Dr. Farrukh Naveed, secretary of higher education, has briefed the proposal of air-conditioned busses for girls’ colleges. 76 buses will be handed over to 76 colleges in Punjab in three phases. The tehsils that got the buses first are Bhakkar, Sialkot, Chiniot Kamalia, Hasilpur, Malakwal, Ferozewala, Shorekot, Jatoi, Fateh Jang, Hasan Abdal, Kot Momin, Jalalpur Pirwala, Kallar Syedan, Pindi Ghep, Manchanabad, and Sharqpur.

The girls’ colleges of Nowshera Virkan, Dina, Yazman, Pindi Bhattian, Lalian, Bhawana, Kot Addu, Taxila, Sarai Alamgir and Pelaan would get buses. Allama Iqbal Town Lahore, Isa Khel, Raiwind, and Sohawa Girls Colleges will also receive buses by February 2025, in the second phase.

In the third phase, 2 more buses and 32 coaches will also get 35 more tehsils in Punjab. The Chief Secretary of Punjab, the Principal Secretary to the CM, and other relevant officers were also present.
